Hammered Beauty
July 2024
These copper earrings were my first professional jewelry creation. Designed around the theme of "juxtaposition," I crafted a flower with delicate cutouts inside each petal. I hammered indented lines into the copper to create the contrast between the natural softness of the flower and the hard lines of the metal. The indentations catch the light, adding a subtle sparkle to the design. After polishing and sealing the copper, the earrings became a wearable work of art, protected from tarnishing by a layer of clear gel nail polish.
