For a show set in the luxurious Saks Fifth Avenue, I created a resort-wear two-piece look themed “Modernized 1940s”. The design incorporates a structured fabric with cut-out holes backed by black netting, a voluminous circle skirt with specialized hemming to maintain its shape, a top with ruching down the center, and a criss-cross back. A headband bow made from the same fabric, accented with pleated red velvet, completes the look. I styled the entire ensemble, taking charge of the hair and makeup to ensure a cohesive vision that echoed the elegance of the 1940s but with a contemporary twist.
